Tablet is generally an electronic device which is something midway between a phone and a laptop, primarily operated by touch-screen. Micromax has certainly created a niche for itself in this industry in a very small time with the release of this wonderful device.

Looks

The first impression which this device created is that this sequel is certainly a lot thinner and lighter than the previous one. The screen is massive with a glossy front. With 10.1 centimeters long, this device gives you the ultimate pleasure of an optimum sized tablet. This tablet ushers in a whole new level of edutainment and comes as a really exciting proposition. The tablet is easier to hold and fits quite firmly in the hand. Let’s go a bit deeper and find have the real fun.

Build Quality

The build quality has improved considerably from its previous generation. The bezel, though a bit thick has a nicer quality of paint and a better finish. Micromax didn’t do much enough to strengthen the outer case of the tablet and can impart some real damage to the device in case it goes for a fall.  As we have mentioned it’s a bit bulky but still easy to carry. A front facing camera is placed on the top to the left. A 16 by 9 screen in terms of size, this tablet gives an ultimate viewing experience. Dual micro-SD card slot, charging port, reset button, HDMI out and a headphone jack along with the lock button and of course volume controls form the outer part.

Performance

In terms of performance, this gadget may seem to blow up your mind. It has a capacitive touch screen with 600X1024 pixels (so a pixel density of about 118 PPI). It has a micro SD card slot, expandable upto 32GB, a RAM of 1 GB, and a massive 8 GB of internal storage. It does not support GSM so no GPRS but it certainly has a Wi-Fi facility and Bluetooth. The Graphical User Interface is just awesome with a splendid lock screen with options like camera, applications etc that can be dragged outwards to open the related applications directly and are thus quickly accessible. Operating on the Ice-cream sandwich operating system, this tablet has a 1.2 GHz cortex A8 processor with an accelerator and supports HTML and flash. It has a front facing VGA camera with no secondary camera and has an impressive Li-ion battery of capacity 5600 mAh. Priced at around INR 10000, this device is a sure winner.
